Special Services, Events and Activities
Black History Month begins this Saturday, 1 October.
At St Philip’s we will mark this important period and will celebrate our diversity at our International night on 15 October and in our Sunday Eucharist on 16 October – the place where we are reminded of our unity.
We are also looking forward to welcoming our guest speaker Verna Allette Wilkins, the founder of Tamarind Books, a publishing company she set up in 1987 to produce books which give children of colour a sense of self and personal value. It is now an imprint of Penguin Random House Children’s Books UK.
