PREPARATION OF NEW ELECTORAL ROLL

As heralded by Mother Cordella in the Parish Magazine (Lent edition), under the Church Representation Rules, all PCCs are required to fully revise the Church Electoral Roll every six years. This year, 2025, is a designated year in which that has to happen.

Preparation of the new roll has begun here at St Philip’s announced by notices posted on the church door which state the rules under which lay persons are entitled to have their names entered on the roll.

Everyone who is entitled and wishes to be entered on the roll must apply by completing an application form – including those whose names are on the existing roll. Names will not be carried over from the current roll to the new roll.

Enrolment forms are available in hard copy at the back of the church. The enrolment period will end on Sunday 20th April by which time completed forms must have been handed in to Jo Cranfield, the PCC’s Electoral Roll Officer, with declarations made and signed.

Preparation of the new roll will be completed by 3rd May 2025 when it will be ready for inspection in hard copy in the church.

The Annual Meeting of Parishioners and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held in St Philip’s Church on Sunday 18th May 2025. Only those on the revised electoral roll can vote or stand for election as Churchwarden or PCC member.
